The Bay Philharmonic has a unique mission and it’s all about you!
Bay Philharmonic is a nonprofit performing arts organization based in Fremont, California, dedicated to enriching the soul, inspiring the mind, and delighting the senses through exceptional orchestral experiences. Founded in 1964 as the Fremont Symphony and reimagined as Bay Philharmonic in 2022, the organization serves the diverse communities of the East Bay through innovative programming that blends classical masterworks with culturally relevant and accessible performances. Bay Philharmonic strives to make live symphonic music welcoming to audiences of all ages, backgrounds, and levels of familiarity with the arts.
In addition to its professional orchestra, Bay Philharmonic is home to the Bay Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (BPYO), which provides high-quality ensemble experiences for young musicians ages 8-17. BPYO nurtures musical excellence, leadership, collaboration, and a lifelong appreciation for the arts while offering students the opportunity to perform alongside professional mentors and share their talents with the community.
Bay Philharmonic is further strengthened by the dedication of the Bay Philharmonic Guild, a volunteer organization that supports the orchestra through fundraising initiatives, community outreach, special events, and audience engagement activities. Guild members serve as ambassadors for the organization, helping to foster meaningful connections between Bay Philharmonic and the communities it serves.
Together, Bay Philharmonic, the Bay Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, and the Bay Philharmonic Guild create a vibrant ecosystem that celebrates artistic excellence, lifelong learning, and community involvement. Through performances, educational opportunities, and volunteer leadership, Bay Philharmonic continues its mission of ensuring that the transformative power of music remains an accessible and inspiring force throughout the East Bay.
