Senator Dr. Aisha Wahab was elected in 2022 representing the cities of Hayward, Union City, Newark, Fremont, Milpitas, Sunnyvale, San Jose and Santa Clara. Dr. Wahab is the California Senate Assistant Majority Leader; the Chair, Senate Housing Committee; and the Vice Chair, of the AAPI Legislative Caucus.
