A Nonprofit IS A Business And Needs To Be Approached/Operated That Way

Description

Many people do not view nonprofits as a business, which can create problems. A nonprofit MUST be run in a business-like manner to ensure success and survival. This workshop will show you how nonprofits are a business, with some variations from a for-profit business.

Registration must be completed no later than the day before the class meeting.

The course will be conducted online on Zoom.

Zoom links will be sent within two days of the first class meeting.

  • Similarities and differences between nonprofit and for-profit practices
  • Role of the board
  • Sample best business practices for nonprofits
  • Threats for not operating in a business-like manner


Instructor:

Bob Reich, Executive Consultant with Brainstorm Bob Consulting, brings over 30 years of experience to his work and teaching in all aspects of nonprofit organizational management including boards, for non-profit, academic, community, and municipal organizations. In addition, he has taught multiple university and professional courses on nonprofit management.
